Joe Toussaint scored a game-high 25 points, Jaylen Murray scored 18 and Shemani Fuller finished with 16, as Cardinal Hayes defeated top seed St. Raymond in convincing fashion, running past the Ravens 86-65 in the CHSAA NY Archdiocesan final at Mount Saint Michael Academy in the Bronx on Saturday. Hayes broke the game open in the second half, outscoring St. Raymond 23-8 in the third quarter and coasting the rest of the way.

The Cardinals connected on twelve 3-pointers in the game, with Murray and Julian Soumaoro draining four each. St. Raymond tried to press their way back into the game in the fourth, but Toussaint and Murray were able to navigate the pressure to create easy looks for Fuller and Adam Cisse around the rim, with the pair combining for 17 of Hayes' 21 points in the final frame. Tahron Allen had 17 points for St. Raymond.

Saturday's final was the third meeting between Hayes and St. Raymond, with the Bronx rivals splitting the regular season series and finishing in a deadlock atop the NY Archdiocesan regular season standings at 14-3.

In addition to taking the Archdiocesan trophy, Hayes earned the top NY seed in the CHSAA intersectional playoffs, meaning they will face the winner of Holy Cross and Mount in the quarterfinals at Fordham University next Sunday. St. Raymond also gets a bye in the intersectional first round. The Ravens will get the winner of Christ the King and Monsignor Scanlan in the quarters.
